Real families, real memories

I absolutely adore being photographing my sweet families. I met most of them when I photographed their wedding, and it is such a treat to see them year after year and watch their families grow. Some of these little ones that I photographed as babies are all grown up now! It is wild to think I have been doing this long enough for that to be the case, but here we are.

Each family photography session is truly unique, and brings their own life and energy to their session. Much like wedding photography, my philosophy is if it’s not fun no one is going to like the results. So my goal, as always, if to make the experience an enjoyable one. Let the kids be kids, highlight their individual personalities and look for the in between moments that tell the story of your family. Each time you have your family photos taken, you are preserving that chapter of your family’s story. Kids grow up fast, personalities and interests change and what was once everyday life becomes a treasured moment in time.

One huge plus about being a Sacramento family photographer, is there is no shortage of gorgeous places to take your photos, and I would be happy to give you suggestions if you don’t have somewhere in mind.
