Engagement photography

Your engagement is such a short season of life, and with all that happens during this time it tends to pass by in a blur. Between celebrating with family, planning your wedding, and dreaming about the future, it's a time you'll want to remember forever. That's why engagement photography is so much more than checking another item off your wedding to-do list—it's an opportunity to celebrate your relationship in a relaxed, meaningful way.

Engagement photography sessions are some of my favorite sessions to shoot. Getting to know you, how you interact with one another, how you communicate, what makes you smile…these are the things I treasure. My approach to engagement photos is going to be the same as your wedding photos, using gentle guidance to walk you through interactions that feel natural and not overly posed or stiff. Just you and your love enjoying some time together while I document this special season of your life. By the time the wedding arrives you will feel like pros, comfortable and confident that you will know exactly what to expect. Kinda like a practice run- one that will create it’s own beautiful set of memories you will cherish forever.

One of my favorite parts of engagement sessions is exploring beautiful outdoor locations around Sacramento. Whether you love golden fields, oak trees, scenic overlooks, riverside trails, or charming downtown streets, we'll choose a location that reflects your style as a couple. This is also a fun time to work in something that is unique or personal to you. Where did you go on your first date? What are your favorite outdoor activities? Where did you propose? These are all ways to make your engagement session even more special and truly is the perfect way to celebrate this incredible time of your lives.
